Michael Dews, PhD
Michael Dews received his B.S degree at Tulane University and Ph.D. from the University of Southern California. He was a post-doctoral fellow, then Research Assistant Professor at Thomas Jefferson University. Prior to coming to the CHOP Research Institute, he began working with Dr. Thomas-Tikhonenko at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine as a Senior Research Scientist. His research is aimed at understanding how the Myc family proteins promote tumor angiogenesis, with emphasis on the intervening roles of microRNAs and TGF-beta signaling in this process.
