September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!
Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death from disease in children. While researchers at the Center for Childhood Cancer Research (CCCR) at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and many other pediatric cancer centers are making great progress in the search for a cure, they need more funding to continue their work.
That's why each September during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Cancer Center team rallies to increase visibility of pediatric cancer in our communities. This year there are many ways to get involved, both here in the Philadelphia area and in cities across the country. See how you can participate by visiting the Cancer Center Page.
